Dr Darren Molony graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 1995 from Flinders University. He then completed training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at all of South Australia’s major teaching hospitals.
In 2006, he gained his Fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
Darren has over 17 years experience as a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon in public and private practice.
Darren is currently a Senior Visiting Medical Specialist at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Plastic Surgery and Burn Surgery, as well as the Royal Darwin Hospital and Top End Health Service. Darren is also a Senior Visiting Medical Specialist at the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
His private practice encompasses a diverse range of plastic and reconstructive surgery, including skin cancer management, hand and nerve surgery, trauma, and paediatric plastic surgery, as well as microsurgery, cosmetic and general reconstructive surgery.
Darren specialises in an array of Breast Surgery procedures which include Breast Reduction and Breast Lifting as well as the management of Breast Augmentation and Breast Implants. He also has interests in Body Contouring and Abdominoplasty for abdominal wall muscle dysfunction following pregnancy, surgery and significant weight loss.
Having grown up in country South Australia, Darren understands the needs of rural patients and is dedicated to helping them. Darren is a former federal council member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Darren consults at Calvary Adelaide Hospital and operates at Calvary Adelaide Hospital, the Women's & Children's Hospital and the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
